SO WHY do you want a soundcard on a firewall?
Using a LRP system for mpegplayer somewhere inside your local network ok,
But PLEASE Not on the firewall.

You are going to have to see what software is required and make your own
.lrp package for it. you may need to make "/dev/dsp" device.

You have not told the list what version of debian! Differant libraries!

I hope you have looked at how much time you have to read and work to make
this work! How big is the code needed? Will it fit on a floppy?

Yes, doing things like this van be done, but  you will spend a lot of
time! You will learn a lot! It will be a good educational experience!

I think you may want to look at other minidistributions for you
mpegplaying.

I have not done this task or desire to learn at this time!
