Hi I am trying to fire up LRP 2.9.8 for PPPoE ADSL line with dynamic IP = address asigned during PPPoE procedure. I've done idiot_image_Linux_2.0 1680kb floppy, copied 3c509.o(I've got = two 3c509 NICs), bsd_comp.o, ppp.o, slhc.o to it. Now I'm trying to boot = my common comp(P41.7GHz 512MBDDR running debian) with the floppy to copy = modules to ramdisk image, but I'm in stuck. Things are going bad in two = ways: 1. Everything stops at boot showing line like this: SYSLINUX ver.1.49 .date_here. boot failed! 2. If I 'syslinux /dev/fd0u1680' the floppy it's look like very slow = uncompressing ramdisk image then uncompressing kernel and... my machine = reboots! I didn't try to boot my 486 with the floppy 'cause router isn't ready = yet. I'm going to try it this evening maybe. What I've done wrong? Is there anything I have missed or should look = at. Thanks for Your help, Hubert. _______________________________________________ linux-router maillist - [email protected] http://www.linuxrouter.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-router
