Hi, As the subject says... Sep 1 21:06:06 ritmo wlan.agent[11122]: Unknown prism2 hardware type (), assuming SSF Sep 1 21:06:06 ritmo wlan.agent[11122]: Firmware failed to load for device wlan0 Sep 1 21:06:06 ritmo wlan.agent[11122]: WLAN Could not bring up wlan0 Sep 1 21:06:06 ritmo kernel: hfa384x_drvr_start: cmd_initialize() failed, result=-5 Sep 1 21:06:06 ritmo kernel: prism2sta_ifstate: hfa384x_drvr_start() failed,result=-5 I have searched the lists and tried the patch to prism.shared suggested by http://lists.linux-wlan.com/pipermail/linux-wlan-user/2004-June/012623.html I have also tried to manually disable and load the firmware as suggested elsewhere: wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_ifstate ifstate=disable wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_ifstate ifstate=fwload So far nothing seems to work. Also the device is very temperamental as to whether it will actually accept a USB address (error -110), repeated attempts and an oblique insertion into the USB socket helps. Any suggestions?
