Hello to the list, short from me: I'm new on this list, I'm from Germany (and I hope; my english is understandable :-) ) The next and the main topic: I have a problem with DWL-122 usb stick and wlan-ng software. I use kernel 2.6.12.2 (gentoo), wlan-ng software 0.2.1-pre23 and as hardware an MMX200 on Intel board (usb controller is an 82371 / PIIX4 Intel - I know, that's not the best choice) All was working fine with wlanctl-ng and ifconfig/route commands on command line. Then I tried to use wlan startup script. But this was ending in a kernel OOPS in this procedure. After this problem starts. Looking in /proc/net/p80211/wlan0/* you can find no real infos, values are only zero. wlanctl-ng ... ifstate=enable isn't successfull, loading module works and also wlanctl-ng ... ifstate=fwload/disable I've tried after this to work on a win98se system with original driver cd from dlink - it works! But I think, what ever is happen, it has destroyed some entries in flash, so wlan-ng isn't working now. How to act now? I've tried prism2dl to load prism2_ru.hex, but this needs a valid pda file, I've used on win system win-update, but this makes an error: can't load ru010801.hex - maybe because driver reclaimed the device. But gettig informations work and so I loaded pda and firmware from this version. But load the firmwarefile on prism2dl makes an segfault and, maybe, this pda from win isn't right for my purposes. Anybody here, who knows how to act now? Who knows this problem and know, what to do now? Many thanks for answers, thomas
