I'm not sure this issue is really driver related - probably
more in the linux IP stack somewhere.

The linux-wlan list only covers driver issues for a narrow
range of 802.11b capable chipsets. The ipw2100 falls outside
this area.

You are probably better off on a linux general networking
alias.
