Joint to-do list

Just my version thereof....

1. appbat-celestia: clean now for ia-32, the
core dumps were celstia bugs, and seem to be
gone on 1.2.5.  However, we don't have an
answer for ia64 or ppc yet - it doesn't build.

2. appbat-samba: I'm having problems in the
lsb-si, suspect it's the pam-based authentication.
I think there are some issues with the fvt,
see my earlier posts, and Stew's. Need to
explore more.

3. appbat-rsync: doesn't work right in the lsbsi
on ia64. 

4. appbat-xpaint: dies on ia64

5. ia64 appchk failures.  There's an extra section
.opd which I think needs adding (it's in ppc64).
There are some bogus section attribues in a few apps,
these look like GNU toolchain problems. If we
"excuse" these (i.e. document that they will have
those appbat failures but don't deem it an impediment
to release), apache, tcl and expect are ready
to go on ia64, which would bring the app count to seven.

6. ia32 appchk failures. C++ apps have a
.gnu_except_table section.  A couple of
binaries have dwarf information that is out
of spec.

7. lsbsi-uml:  need to prompt for network setup,
and enable network.  Need error recovery in the
Configure script, or things can get messed up.
Probably should prompt for memory size too.
The uml works quite well now.

8. lsbsi: worried about the Linux-PAM stuff,
as exposed by Samba.  If this is not just faulty
samba setup, there may be some tweaking needed.

9. The appbat needs to be tagged 1.3.0 when
it's ready, so we can recreate it at will.
Same with the lsbsi (the si is tagged for
1.3b1 already so it's close).

10. There's a header file bug that I passed
on to Stuart today (haven't filed an SF bug yet).

And everything needs release notes.
