I asked the question because I tried exactly this on one of the buildX-ppc64 boxes a while back, and the results didn't seem to be 32-bit - my build tipped over with exactly the failures we were seeing for 64-bit. Perhaps the sequence of things I did meant I was was in a 64-bit environment and didn't know it. I'll try this again. Thanks. Mats
