As a followup with the previous, I'm agreeing with Chris that there should be a
way to make it easy for people to understand what's needed to install the
conformance package (it's a torch I've tried to carry in past), but I don't see
any answer other than to leave it up to the distros to provide that information
and for pressure to be exerted _outside_ of the spec process to continue to make
it easier, or even default. It's sad that while LSB is a really minimal
environment and should not be terribly controversial to be the default, what
most people have put in as their dependency rule is not "get me the minimum
necessary to run an LSB app" but rather "reproduce the LSB testing environment
under which I was certified" - I understand the latter but it seems to be a lot
bigger as it brings in at least a few non-LSB things (one distro I'm looking at
imports perl and vim).
