[Bug 877] New: Style: replaceable element in text format, lsb-core-arch

[email protected]
Newsgroups gmane.linux.lsb.specification
Message-ID <[email protected]>
In the text output format, replaceable elements are not distinguished, this
leads to information loss in some cases. Here's an example:

<TERM>lsb-core-<replaceable>arch</replaceable></TERM>

Rendered thus:

21757 Packages shall have a dependency that indicates which LSB
21758 modules are required. LSB module descriptions are dash
21759 seperated tuples containing the name 'lsb', the module name,
21760 and the architecture name. The following dependencies may be
 21761 used.
 21762
 21763 lsb-core-arch
 21764

One would read that, despite the preceding text, as literally requiring the
symbol as rendered, and not that "arch" is replaceable.
