Section 20.8. Init Script Functions defines the required functions that will be available. For the ones which may generate output, "The log_success_msg function shall cause the system to print a success message." is a typical description. Does that mean to the system console? To a logfile? Can the initscript expect to be run in an environment where stdout goes to the right place - that is, would "echo" or "print" be sufficient? Or is all that an implementation detail? The underlying question is, can a test be written to this specification that tests that the init-functions will do what the specification requires? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.linuxbase.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.
