LSB Test Teleconference June 28 2005

The main purpose of the call was a bugzilla review
to prepare certification releases of the test tools.

The key bugs for test are below,

LSB 3 runtime (platform) tests:

Add a note to the Certification FAQ to document that the
following locales need to be installed for lsb C++ testing:
en_US, en_PH, en_HK, es_MX, de_DE,

Still a problem, looks like the strategy we are using is
not portable.
This can cause between 20 and 100 problems.
This is quite urgent to fix.
We recommended that this chunk of the test be disabled.

843 not affecting the runtime tests, but could do with
a cleanup.

979 Marvin has made a workaround to the tet package naming
conventions so that the php script picks it up

Rui -- please could you look at the bug to see if we need
to change the spec file for the lsb-tet package in the
future. This is not urgent

981 hope that there is nothing to fix, just need to verify
this.

1006 Not urgent. It would improve the quality of cmdchk slightly if it 
did this, currently it looks in a set of PATHs specified
by the LSB. We think that some of these are tested by the
lsb-fhs

620 pkgchk needs to capture failures

In general the situation is that the runtime tools
are almost ready. lsblibchk is the most critical to fix.
On the application test side, lsbpkgchk and lsbarchk
need some fixes too.

Certification Test Suite releases

We approved the following two tests for certification:

lsb-runtime-test 3.0.0-4  i486, ia64, ppc, ppc64, s390, s390x,  x86_64
lsb-test-vsw4 	3.0.0-4  i486, ia64, ppc, ppc64, s390, s390x,  x86_64

The other test tools need final work as follows:

qm/qmtest dependency on appbat Python
lsblibchk needs addressing as per above
lsbcmdchk hold may be a change as per above
lsbappchk - need a verification on x86_64
lsbpkgchk - more work as per above
lsbarchk - more work as per above

Need the application battery to also be approved
for certification for the LSB runtime
