Three applications in the LSB Application Battery are being updated to
correct several problems found during testing. The new rpm packages for
python, tcl, and expect can be found in the beta directory of appbat on
the LSB download page (http://www.linuxbase.org/download).

The updated versions of the applications should resolve all the problems
reported with the exception of python on the ppc64 architecture. There are
some math related bugs in python on ppc64 that also exist in the native
version of the application. These bugs are being investigated.

The updated apps will remain in the beta directory for the next week. If
no further bugs have been discovered by Monday, 8/29, the apps will be
moved to the released-3.0.0 directory and will become the official version
to use for LSB certification.
