Hi! Shouldn't this be sent to lsb-futures? I was expecting it on the futures list. Anyways, here's what I've been onto; getting the existing tool/prototype fleshed out (it's inside si/lsbinstall on the CVS) which is in perl. I had a chat with Nick Stoughton on the issue, and was hoping to take the tool to the consensus achieved listed here: http://www.linuxbase.org/LSBWiki/LsbinstallProblems I am adding UML designs that show how the present perl prototype is designed and - hoping to check it into the CVS, modifying it - finishing the tool to the level of consensus achieved For the design, I was hoping to extend the work already done and finish up (fitting with the 3.0 and extending into futures to support "menu" and "font" installations.) Saw your code, nice and structured, had some trouble installing and checking stuff with it. I guess I should be checking $? after a run. Maybe we can work together on this. The testsuite needs to be written too; and can be done quickly as a script. Give me your views on the same. Cheerio!
