  I had success with updating to
$ uname -a
Linux underdog 3.1.6-1.2-desktop #1 SMP Wed Dec 28 22:24:43 UTC 2011 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

but I did not trigger the problem in drakxtools-backend because
it apparently only happens in i586.

  /me too now am happy with installing a 3.x kernel (did build the
nvidia kernel driver cleanly).

  Only issue is that I still keep a computer where I did not
"rpm -e --nodeps linux-userspace-headers" and apparently should
be a rpm issue. Maybe if removing the epoch it would work...

$ rpm -q --provides kernel-headers
linux-userspace-headers = 1:3.1.5-1.1:2012.0
kernel-headers = 1:3.1.5-1.1:2012.0

$ urpmq --provides linux-userspace-headers
linux-userspace-headers[== 2.6.38.4-2:2012.0]
