This test has been done with my home computer :

AMD Athlon XP 1900+
Gigabyte GA-7VA-C
512Mo DDR
GF4 MX
Creative SBLive Value!
WinTv Hauppauge PCI
Netgear NIC FA311
IIYAMA A901HT
Adaptec SCSI 2940U2W
1 IBM SCSI HD
1 SCSI DVD Pionner
1 SCSI CDRW burner
2 IDE maxtor HD
1 IDE CDRW burner ( LG )
1 IDE CDR ( LG )

partitions on HD : FAT32, ext3, JFS

1=B0/ my TV card was not set properly at boot. I nedd to launch drakxtv
from harddrake to have the right module launched ( autodetect mode ).

2=B0/ xawtv just segfault when I try to launch it. zapping work but I was
unable to see TV.
so unable to watch TV, seems to have a problem with my TV card
configuration.

3=B0/ HD partitions not shown on desktop even if I say I want to see them
in KDE Control center.
Note : this is working fine with kde 3.2 and this is a bug that concern
all kde 3.1.x versions on mdk.

4=B0/ No resize support for JFS/XFS/ext3/...
A live CD is perfect for this as you don't face the "please resize an
unmounted and/or read-only partition" problem
