I believe this has to do with the DVI interface, when I run ddcxinfos on the
dvi interface I only get info about the card, not the monitor.

My usbdisk is an usb 2.0 from Apacer (256 MB) about 9 months old.

It's a NEC1300A dvd-rw drive, It reads most disks really fast. Also this one
AFICR.

Later I found drakxconfig or some other drak??? name. This avoided the 10
minute startup for mcc, perhaps mcc isn't optimised for CD based loading?
BTW, I noticed that it indicated version 9.2 configuration instead of
mandrake move.

I guess that's why it didn't do anything, I've got 2 NICs in it. I'm sure
it's better to ask in this case than to ignore without warning to the user.
 
Since updates are not as easy to do for MM, are you going to offer binary
patches to the iso files (or plain new ones) to update for bugs?
