My workstation runs 2008.1 and I think I had trouble with codecs to start with - memory fuzzy. I had bought the megabundle on 2007* but bought the latest bundle from Fluendo, which helped but had trouble with faad (vague memory again). No trouble now either offline or in a browser. These are the faad components on this system: /usr/bin/faad /usr/lib64/libfaad.so.0 # probably a symbolic link to the next one /usr/lib64/libfaad.so.0.0.0 /usr/lib64/libmpeg4ip_faad.so.0 # symbolic link? /usr/lib64/libmpeg4ip_faad.so.0.0.0 /usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libgstfaad.so /usr/lib64/libquicktime/lqt_faad2.so /usr/lib64/vlc/codec/libfaad_plugin.so /usr/lib64/xine/plugins/1.20/xineplug_decode_faad.so /usr/share/doc/faad2 /usr/share/doc/faad2-xmms /usr/share/doc/faad2/AUTHORS /usr/share/doc/faad2/ChangeLog /usr/share/doc/faad2/NEWS /usr/share/doc/faad2/README /usr/share/doc/faad2/TODO /usr/share/doc/faad2-xmms/README Don't know where they came from.
