Firefox on x86_64 after desktop kernel upgrade?

Hello,

I upgraded to the latest x86_64 desktop kernel late yesterday and rebooted.

After the reboot, my firefox segfaults consistently.

I have uninstalled, removed orphans, reinstalled, and no joy.  I tried older 
versons of firefox.  No joy.  I cannot seem to install the x86_64 version of 
firefox since I had the i586 version for flash compatibility and I cannot rid 
myself of all the i586 orphans.

Anyone else with the same problem?  Anything on the forums?
