The bug has been identified and fixed.
It prevents running i586 applications on x86_64 so people using x86_64 
and needing such applications are advised to not update.
An update is being worked on and should be available tomorrow.

If you still have the option to boot into the older kernel until the 
patch comes out you can go ahead and do that.  If not you should not try 
to do to much to fix anything until the new kernel comes out.
