G'day Alvaro GP & ALL,

Briefly my desktop Fedora 12 server will go to Tas Principal Computers
(Hobart) -- collected from home at 3:10pm monday.

(Mandriva newbie ppl more system details below. System is fairly
stable. Occassionally gets annoying problem with Firefox (latest
version) having its window jump vertically up and down
uncontrollably). I had a similar problem with the Add/Remove software
-- haven't checked recently... it think that disabling the
accessibility on-screen magnifier helps reduce the problem ... not
sure.

Hey, Alvaro, What's up Dude!!! What's new in Spain? Did you hear that
here in Tasmania we had a local election a few weeks ago and the Labor
Party Premier was re-elected but now we have a 'hung parliament for
local government'. I don't follow politics a lot but I did vote Labor
since I didn't want the Greens in power and thought that the Liberals
had the wrong spending promises.

My dad, Ern, in Victor Harbor, SA, says that The Tasmanian Gov't needs
now to be hung, drawn and quartered! LOL He and I really dislike
discussing politics. ;-))) Dad understand politics very well, and so
does timbo McCann. If you have any questions about life in the Lucky
Country of OZ then feel free to reply to all -- between the 3 of us,
hopefully we'll be able to answer questions.

It's 1pm Sunday here and it's a slightly overcast Authmn day here. I
am not fussed as I'm bumming around my unit and now I'm relaxing at my
computer with some 2 minute noodles I microwaved with added generous
amounts of tumeric and cinnamon. Yummy!!!

Alvaro, be on the look out for a parcel with that surprise I told you
I was going to send to you. I have it packed a ready to post around
the flat for weeks. I think you will be very excited. Say no more!!!

Also been busy writing a funny poem today... see my other email from
me, Alvaro & timbo & also to Liz Winfield and Dave & Violet Worrall.
Liz is a Hobart local and very very active with publishing poems and
MC'ing a poetry gig monthy at the Republic Bar in North Hobart... If
you like I can post off a few old Poets Republic Newsletters of
poetry.

I have re-configured Yahoo! Groups yet again and am keeping my fingers
crossed that I don't lose all my subscribed groups -- about 60 of them
with various level of email notifications switched on / off / digest /
no email etc.. still quite tricky to manage.

I use Firefox browser with a lot of plugins and addons config'd ...
maybe too many. I know that my HP Laptop also running Fedora 12 does
not have nearly as many of them installed but maybe it should.

For reasons which I don't understand Firefox every so often crashes
and create a bug report but I don't know how to submit it to
Mandriva.org ;-(

Also on my desktop server (which is not configured quite right) when I
went to continue editing my funny poem --- live on line with Google
Pages online editor -- I did a lot of work then the server just hung
;-)) So I powered it down and cos I was really keen to finish
redrafting my poem I then use my HP Laptop with Fedora 12. Until it
then hung and needed to be powered down. Also I am currently unable to
wirelessly connect to the internet !!!

Anyway my funny poem is not on my FREE Website for all the world to
have a giggle over, :-)))

Enjoy !!! & God Bless

With Best Regards,
   PEW { Peter Eric Williams }
