 /etc/sysconfig/network to set hostname. 
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 (your ifcfg-eth0 file name may 
be different)  NEEDHOSTNAME=no if it doesn't stick. or the gui option is 
mcc>network/internet>hosts definitions or drakhosts from a console
