Re: Problem with libfreetype6 package

Hi..

I'm currently trying out Mandriva 2008 One. I installed the libfreetype6
package to improve my fonts, but it doesn't appear to be working on my
system. I only realised because my fonts look much better in another
distribution that I'm using.

Selecting "Use sub-pixel hinting" in the KDE Control Center does not
alter my fonts in any way, I have two screenshots that appear to be
identical. 

"Use sub-pixel hinting" was not selected in the first screenshot and was
in the second.

I came across a thread which suggested running "fc-cache" to fix the
problem. Unfortunately, it did not change the situation on my system.
