hmm, i have:
[root@sherlock bascule]# ls -l /var/cache/httpd2-naat/
total 1
drwxr-x--- 2 httpd-naat admin 1024 Jun 13 23:43 mod_ssl/
[root@sherlock bascule]# ls -l /var/cache/httpd2-naat/mod_ssl/
total 0
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Jun 11 21:19 __db.ssl_scache.
[root@sherlock bascule]#

which is not what you have and the error:
 Cannot create SSLSessionCache DBM file
`/var/cache/httpd2-naat/mod_ssl/ssl_scache'
would seem perhaps to mean it can't write there? except i have a similar:
drwxr-x--- 2 httpd-naat admin 1024 Jun 13 23:43 mod_ssl/
as you do andreas,
anyway i'm off to work now, shall have to look at this tomorrow,
