[Security-Discuss] Mandrake prevent sec kernel updates

The subject is a little bit provocant. Sorry, but it's true:

I'am using madwifi (via free download available, eg. 
http://atrpms.net/dist/fc2/madwifi/ for fedora src.rpms or on 
sourceforge, patches for 2.6.8.x from 
http://users.informatik.haw-hamburg.de/~gropp_v/madwifi-2.6.8_and_-mm-040821.patch.bz2) 
and the wpa_supplicant (free download, eg 
http://hostap.epitest.fi/wpa_supplicant/).

A kernelupdate isn't possible, because there is no kernelmodule for the 
latest 2.6 kernel of MD 10.1, nor the source rpm for a rebuild.
The club page (http://www.mandrakeclub.com/article.php?sid=2458) states:

  	NB : Source RPMs are not available for obvious legal reasons

Nothing is obvious for madwifi, see above links!
Why isn't there a src.rpm on the club, or at least a spec-file with 
download links?
I am silver clubmember.

The same story with nvidia driver a long time ago. I was constrained to 
develop my own src rpm to upgrade to the newest mdk-kernels for sec 
reasons. (Yes, one year after MY src.rpm, Mandrake publish 
the their src.rpm. What about the "obvious legal reasons" in this case?)
I thought I can avoid this needless work with a club membership, but I'm 
wrong.

So, PLEASE publish your madwifi*src.rpm, or at least the spec file with 
software links.
I would update my 10.1 kernel!
