Yes, this off-topic, but let me answer this.  Gael hasn't done any
"packaging" on Mandriva for years.  So a decline in quality, if you want
to call it that, has no correlation to Gael whatsoever.  Gael was not
the CTO, Gael was not involved in packaging, QA, or anything like that.
He handled PR stuff, he handled community stuff, etc.  None of that has
any impact on the quality of the distro.

And just to prove a point, even though it's taking a fair amount of
time, I'll prove just how much Gael has done with actual *technical*
stuff on the distro:

By contrast (and keep in mind I'm not even really a developer and
haven't touched by cooker in years):

389

From this, you can probably judge that Gael hasn't been directly
involved with the "production" of the distro in quite some time so his
departure should not impact the "quality" of the distro at all because
he hasn't contributed to the "quality" of the distro at all.  His
responsibilities were in an entirely different area and while I think he
did a fantastic job at them, they are not all reflected by your comments
above.

If you want to cast doom and gloom speculation about Mandriva and how
Gael's departure is affecting it, you might want to get your facts
straight first.
