Without any logs no sorry :-( Best would be to get both archive and retore logs.
If you boot on a repair DVD, do you at least see hwether the restore happened ?
Maybe it's just the boot loader reinstall issue. Are you UEFI or MBR ? Is it different HW ?
lots of questions that would be reduced by looking at the logs in fact.
