You r version (which is old, but that's not your fault, but mine because I've not published a new one since way too long, but that will change) doesn't contain the USB driver used by your HW. Please edit the /etc/mindi/mindi.conf file and set the following variable: FORCE_MODS="xhci_pci" That should help for the HW recognition at boot not only for your keyboard, but your DvD drive as well.
