I tried but I have kernel panic. The only solution I found is to insert the entire string from syslinux/syslinux.cfg: For example: /vmlinuz append initrd=/initrd.img root=/dev/ram0 rw ramdisk_size=203368 interactive devfs=nomount noresume selinux=0 barrier=off udevtimeout=10 Please, let me know if this can cause problems. Now I have problems with the restore procedure. It seems there is GAP before /dev/sda3. This is the original disk: Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 1 8 64228+ de Dell Utility /dev/sda2 * 9 270 2104515 c W95 FAT32 (LBA) /dev/sda3 271 283 104422+ 83 Linux /dev/sda4 284 30272 240886642+ 5 Extended /dev/sda5 284 30272 240886611 8e Linux LVM I've a 300GB disk on the vm. Partitioning should be automatic, right?
