This was actually much better and nearly a complete build. From the build log :-

"Your module is available as /tmp/libmorphix-hn4D66/base/morphix"
The base again built ok.

The mainmodule build process started:-
"Exec: /usr/sbin/debootstrap  sid /tmp/libmorphix-Z3n5Zs
ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian
I: Retrieving Release
I: Retrieving Packages
I: Validating Packages"

Howver you did not have enough disk space:-
"E: You don't have enough free space in /var/cache/apt/archives/."

Use a hd partition with more free space. Or use an etch VM.

Was this using MorphingMorphix ? If so was it was the partition that
did not support file permissions. Did you get this message:-
"Setting up Morphing Morphix

This partition does support file permissions.
We need to make a 2.5G file on the partition to be used as
tmp file space."
Feedback on MorphingMorphix is useful as I am trying to finish the next release.
