Sorry for the delay, I'm out of the country.

Odd that your keyboard locked up. I'm just guessing at this point, but 
you might want to try using 'etch' (old-stable) instead of 'stable' in 
your sources.list. This might stop things breaking when upgrading, as 
the last official Morphix release is very old the step to the current 
Debian stable might be too troublesome.

An alternative would be simply installing the latest Debian stable.
