Morphix CD not booting

I have been looking into the Morphix distro and would very much like to try it 
out.

I have a Pentium (coppermine) running @ 800Mhz with a Matrox Mellinium 
G400 graphics card.  When I try to boot the CD it first ask what console size I 
want to use, and gives me a list.  I give it an answer, it then unpacks several 
thing (can't read what), then drops to 'very limited shell'.  With the message.
/proc/splash: No such file or directory
Can't find Morpix filesystem, sorry etc....
