Morphix uses standard Debian (sid) repositories. We have our own repository with
Morphix-specific packages, but they only provide packages not in Debian sid.

Morphix compared with a normal Debian install:

- the /morphix directory, which can be freely removed after installing (it's
only there if you would like to make a livecd from the install again :-)
- normal Debian boot process, however lilo (and in future releases, grub) are
set up by morphixinstaller (not sure if debconf handles these anyway though)
- LightGUI starts X as the user you made during the install procedure
- the Linux kernel and kernel modules in Morphix aren't 'debified'
- In former releases extra non-Debian repositories were added, but as this
always causes problems in the future we're trying to minimize this as much as
possible

As we're only a group of individuals without the server space or bandwidth to
keep a full Debian repository online, we try to keep Morphix as close to Debian
as possible (and frankly, I don't think we could ever do a better job). I
personally use Morphix frequently just to get a quick Debian install. It's not
100% Debian, but it's pretty darn close :-)
