This is very odd.  I'd be tempted to contact someone on the EBTables 
developer mailing list to see what they have to say.  You may have run 
in to an obscure bug, either in bridging / EBTables or the Tigon network 
driver.

I'm not too sure about the Tigon 3 driver, I think I've heard them do 
weird things in other situations before.  However I have no experience 
so I can't say one way or the other.

Will you try replacing the Tigon 3 NIC with another brand and see if you 
have the same problems with the rest of the config being the same?
