Hi again, The current kernel patch introduces a problem with process-exit handeling for threaded processes that exit due to a signal. Lately, I've been spending a lot of time tracking down and fixing this bug. The patch is based on kernel 2.4.18 (the latest stable). Because the development (unstable) version of NGPT requires 2.4.19-pre, I decided to make a patch against the latest pre-kernel as well. To my suprise, the same fix had allready been applied to this pre-release kernel. Checking the Changelog for 19-pre, the fix seems to have been applied on June second, but appearantly noone has bothered to post this on the website or to backport this fix into the current ngpt kernel patch. As I see it, the development mailing list is the main, if not only, communication channel to the 'active users' or 'unofficial co-developers', who have submitted valuable feedback en fixes in the past. If important fixes from the official development team were posted on this mailinglist, it could safe us all a lot of time by avoiding double work. Not everyone is running the latest pre-kernels, especially not in production environments. Thanks again for your time, aj
