Did you look at the INSTALL document?  ;-)

Anyway, here's the scoop...

      For kernel 2.4.18:
            Apply the patch-kngpt-2.4.18-2.0.gz
            Rebuild and activate the new kernel
            Reboot
            Install NGPT rpms

      For kernel 2.4.19:
            Apply the patch-futex-2.4.19-2.0.gz
            Rebuild and activate the new kernel
            Reboot
            Install NGPT rpms

      For kernel 2.5.8:
            Make sure your kernel has the latest futex patch (check on
LKML).
            Install NGPT.

Regarding the "devel" rpm:  This rpm contains the headers, documentation
and everything else necessary to develop pthread apps using NGPT.
