If you are using the oprofile-0.9.9-4.el7, then it is likely because the updated power8 events were added after oprofile-0.9.9 was created and the power8 event patch wasn't yet available. There is a patch for the upcoming rhel-7.1 version of oprofile that includes the following patch: commit 3795ee4a10c11e16c8d13b5a5d7a6f10615a40d5 Author: Maynard Johnson <[email protected]> Date: Wed Sep 25 11:15:30 2013 -0500 Add two new POWER8 events that are needed for stall analysis Signed-off-by: Maynard Johnson <[email protected]> -Will ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download BIRT iHub F-Type - The Free Enterprise-Grade BIRT Server from Actuate!
