I have 1.0.0 [root@pftul3 ~]# /opt/at7.0/bin/ophelp -v /opt/at7.0/bin/ophelp: oprofile 1.0.0git compiled on Jul 24 2014 13:48:26 It appears this build predates the addition of the above events. This was a pre-built package. I've subsequently downloaded the source with git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/oprofile/oprofile and I'm still getting the same error. [root@pftul3 oprofile]# /usr/local/bin/ocount -s -c -b -e PM_L1MISS_LAT_EXC_32 perf_event_open failed with Invalid argument Caught runtime error while setting up counters Internal Error. Perf event setup failed. Error running ocount [root@pftul3 oprofile]# /usr/local/bin/ocount -v /usr/local/bin/ocount: oprofile 1.1.0git compiled on Nov 19 2014 08:15:47 One additional question: There are actually 4 events, and the reference only mentions two.
