If you are curious, it is probable that there is just one bit of this
that is actually important, and now that you have a setup that works,
you can try undoing some of the changes to see what actually matters.

You can probably restore all the memory resources to their defaults.
It is likely that either one interrupt, or part of one IO range, is at
fault.
