Hi I have this (old) VAIO Z600 TEK and made the mistake (?) to install a new SuSE (8.2). After much has been reported on ide2=0x180,0x386 and various combinations of workarounds in the pcmcia configs, my system keeps on locking, when I insert the CDROM. The funny thing: It gives me about 30 seconds to continue working with the machine before it stops. And: the device had worked during installation, strange enough.. Is this a new symptom? Has anyone else experienced that? Should I send more information/logs/diags? thanks for any hints Stephan ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf
