The serial script was doing 'cardctl suspend'?!?  That's pretty

Have you played around with line speeds?  That almost sounds like a
speed mismatch.

That's odd since the PCMCIA drivers cache the CIS information.

I'd still recommend asking your question on a Zaurus mailing list,
since it is clearly a Zaurus specific issue.
