The ds module is a required part of the PCMCIA subsystem.

Beats me, I think this is normal, but I am not a wireless expert.  It
has nothing to do with the "ds" module.

Maybe someone with more wireless network experience would have a
suggestion for how to go about diagnosing what is wrong.  It appears
that the PCMCIA subsystem is operating correctly.  I do not think
there is a bug in the wireless tools.
