No that's not the same.  I had assumed you were using a PCI-PCMCIA
bridge.  If the bridge is on a different bus, then you need to use
resource ranges appropriate for that bus.

Since there are working PPC configurations (Powerbooks, and m8xx
embedded systems) the answer is clearly "yes".
