If you are using the kernel PCMCIA subsystem, then cardbus cards are handled by generic PCI drivers through the hotplug subsystem. This was the result of an executive decision by Linus, that the hotplug framework was superior to the old pcmcia-cs model. It is intended that all PCMCIA devices will migrate to the hotplug framework, though no one has taken the time to implement that. You are correct that the hotplug system is currently not as feature-ful as the pcmcia-cs configuration system. -- Dave ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf
