Try using the 2.4.20-rc1-ac2 kernel (Alan Cox's updates to the
2.4.20-rc1 kernel).  You can get it from ftp.kernel.org in
/pub/linux/kernel/people/alan I think.  The bug is in the kernel PCI
code, not in the PCMCIA subsystem specifically.
