This (socket-specific config file entries) has been suggested at least
once before but I've resisted it because it didn't really strike me as
a particularly good solution to the (very unusual) problem.  I've
thought about adding a "cardctl" command to bind a specific driver to
a socket, so you would not have to interfere with cardmgr.
