You can build the clients from the standalone package if you want. If you are using the kernel modules and configure pcmcia-cs as normal, a "make install" will build and install no modules, but if you then cd to the clients or wireless subdirectory, an explicit "make install" there will build and install a set of clients that will work with the kernel modules. > Are there big advantages of using the standalone version instead of > the kernel version especially with respect to embedded systems?
