WaveLAN as wvlan0?

Hi there,

I want to configure my Lucent Technologies WaveLAN/IEEE Adapter as wvlan0 and 
not as eth1.

After some reading I got the impression that a line like

module "orinoco_cs" opts "port_type=3 station_name=MY_PC channel=3 eth=0"

would give me wvlan0. But it looks like this will only work if I use "orinoco_cs 
" as a module. I have compiled everything into the kernel. So no modules...

What can I do?
