I'm just commit change to NEWS file with schedule release 4.0.12 on 22-08-2005 because current amount of changes is good for close release. In 11-18 August I'll off (short vacation :) so if someone still have something importand for commit for this release best will be do this in next two days. Last week before release (as usuala) will be only for critical changes and for update translations (broadcast mail to translators in this time I'll send few days before usual week before release :). As I promise after release 4.0.11.1 on start "~week for translators" I'll generate snapshot tarball for testing (will be avalaible on ftp.pld.org.pl). Current list of changes: *** general: - login.defs: removed handle QMAIL_DIR variable, - login: allow regular user to login on read-only root file system (not only for root) Patch by Nicolas François <[email protected]> Fix for http://bugs.debian.org/52069 - gpasswd, grpck, grpconv, grpuconv: added flushing group nscd cache, - pwck, pwconv: added flushing passwd nscd cache, - usermod: fixed handle -p option (patch by Peter Vrabec <[email protected]>), - chage: use -1 as value for disable password inactivity, expiration date and checking an password validation.
