Hello:
I've been at MOL often over the last 18 months. After much forum surfing
and google/technorati/yahoo'ing, I've got OS 10.3.9 running in MOL.
I'm close.
2 issues:
1. After a small fix in /etc/mol/molrc.net I can now ping my isp's DNS
servers as well as various address for which I know the actual numeric
IP e.g. 68.168.96.162 (adelphia.net DNS server). However, I can't get
returns from ping, whois, traceroute etc,... with text names e.g.
yahoo.com, adelphia.net.
2. When I try to switch back to YDL 4.0, the window server often
crashes, making it difficult to debug. I suspect from the output and
occasional MOL warning applet about "unsupported screen resolution" that
I just need to rerun molvconfig and confine my settings to "known good"
resolutions.
Here is the output from the last session:
[root@localhost root]# startmol -X

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've come a LONG way to
this point and I will be very happy when I get networking running.
