Busybox is an easy enough program to compile for the sh3 processor and you
can download it off our webpage http://195.241.12.117/jlime/ . The problem
we
are facing with building a userland, now that we've gotten the kernel
working (2.6.x). The current GCC is somewhat faulty when it comes to
building dynamic programs, it so far only builds static. Don't know if
there's a mistake in crosstools (which we use to build the cross compiler)
or if there's something within the new gcc. So far we've been more or less
waiting for a fix to come out. An X enviroment shouldnt be at all hard to
get working, there's no strange hardware in the jornada 6xx and from what
i've heard it's well supported (vesa mode only). Also sound works in the
last linux-sh. We have made Opie our choice for X enviroment for the Jlime
distribution but will probobly make releases for ordinary black/fluxbox,
xfce,icewm....

The only thing left in the hp6xx series is to get hp620 working, which it
more or less will be after i supply a patch for the last changes, mapping
over the changes done to the hp680 and hp690 trees.
